To prepare a Haricot Bean Soup, have this ingredients in front of you:

  • 1 pint of soaked Haricot Beans,

  • 1 big sized Carrot,

  • 1 big sized Turnip,

  • 2 onions,

  • 1 small Celery head,

  • 2 ounces of Butter,

  • 1 teaspoon of Salt and

  • 2 quarts of Water.


How to make Haricot Bean Soup


Here is how you should make Haricot Bean Soup. Start by dissolving the butter in a saucepan. Slice the onions and fry it in the saucepan for 5 minutes.

When you are done, add other vegetables (slice them before) together with beans and water in the saucepan as well. Boil everything for 1 hour and a half. Add the salt then and simmer for an additional half an hour.

That is it! Strain the soup and serve it!
